We are going to create a couple good navigation layouts.

Create a table with these settings:

Rows: 10
  Columns: 1
  Table Width: 200 pixels
  Cell Spacing: 1

Click OK.  

You should now have this:

Highlight your table (Click in the top row and hold down your mouse and pull it down to the bottom row).

Choose a background colour, ive chosen a light yellow. For the first row we are going to use a more bolder colour. Type in your first link which is Home.

You should now have this:

Highlight your table again and go to your Properties Panel and choose a Height of 20 pixels.

Now fill in all the rest of you links text, you should now have this:

Now create your links, we are now going to give our links these properties (Page Properties > Links):

You should now have this:

We can also use this effect but horizontally, you can have these options:

You would now have this:

We are going to highlight our table and choose a Width of 110 pixels so that each column is the same length.

You should now have this:
