I dont think you have enough dedicated members to afford long contests. Ya need something fast to attract people, and only then add something long term. Otherwise people will enter and leave untill the end of contest. Think about it.

You wont forget about something like this, it's kind of impossible to forget a competition of such importance , I'm still deciding whether or not to enter. I'm trying to think of somting good.

Being a teen (and probably a large majority of the internet)... I would like to see a homework help forum. There are some sites out there but they are not forums where you can get specific answers to specific answers. Basically money would be made from advertisements and maybe selling education reference books on your site for a company or something of that sort. The word would be easy to get out, just ask your friends, if they get help they will tell their friends, get your friends to post on myspace and maybe itll spread over myspace bulletins, you could also advertise at other forums, i've noticed some forums are largely populated with teens. I don't have as much experience to pull this off, but if i did decide to i would use money that i currently have saved up.

Another idea if you wanted to get really serious is start the first Download movie site (legal of course) don't know how it would all work out but instead of renting online and waiting for it to arrive, just have them be able to download and keep forever. It's a good idea because the world is becoming more technological and on the go. It would be hard to do but I mean if you wanted to become a large company and invest alot its possible.

Your first idea has been done loads and loads of times, just take a look on google

And also there are loads of movie download sites aswell :/

If you're talking about FREE movie download sites, you'd have to pay alot of people alot of money. I know there are plans for free music download (legal) sites...so movie sites will be soon

Not having a go btw mate :P, just saying

Thanks for the feedback on the competition length - this was something we considered and indeed it was for this reason that we introduced a DRAW between the first 10 Entrants.

The reason it is "so long" is that we expect the community to grow in the coming months, and because of this, we wanted to give people joining R21 in say January or February a chance to enter.

Plus, we also wanted to make it more "competitive"

The more competition, the higher the quality of entry and frankly the more worthwhile winning the competition will become. (It is not just about the money)

Just one point, while we are like original ideas, a submission which is a variation or improvement of an existing idea / format is equally welcome

And another point, all entries must be LEGAL and not breach anyone elses Copyright © - so please give consideration to this also.

Come on, lets have your entries
