Maybe some of you remember a long time ago a small ad was placed asking for help with a chat project called V5N. V5N has hit many holes along the way and has been years in development. However, we have finally gone live with our beta chat and we want you!

Virtual 5 Network is an exciting social networking website that provides many free services to the public. V5N intends to provide services such as a fully featured, user created and moderated Chat (on the web, a downloadable chat client and IRC), Image Hosting, Personal Profiles and Blogs, e-mail service, website designing and much, much more. ((At the moment, our Chat Service - V5Chat is now live.))

Virtual 5 Network made its humble beginning back in 2004, known then as 'Divide 5 Networks'. Made up of a core team, a web chat service was created. However the idea was not to be and at the time came a few unforseen problems which saw progress slow. Ever since the lessons learned at D5N, the concept of V5N has been about the people and the technology provided to them. With a new look, concept and ideas, the team plunged head first and since 2006 has been creating innovative new ideas to provide to the globe. And they are now here.

Virtual 5 Network is run by a dedicated management team and supported by staff in security, moderation and support departments. V5N is always looking forward – you can be rest assured we will continually provide updates and inventive services for you to use.

Our current live service is our V5Chat service where you can download a copy of Deskchat - your very own connection to our chat servers! It is a free and safe download allowing you to use our great design to join our channels or make your own. You can also connect through mIRC and have a chatting experience like no other. Make your own room, set moderators and shoot the breeze.

We have released this in a public beta form so we hope to see you all there!
