Young Entrepreneurs Find Funding Online

Young Entrepreneurs Find Funding Online

I came across this website today: Go4Funding.com - a site that claims to be a platform to bring entrepreneurs, business owners and investors (angel investors and venture capitalists) closer together.

Looks an interesting concept - and from what I can tell, it has investors looking and also entrepreneurs posting their funding requests. Might just be what some of the RetireAt21.com readers are looking for.

According to their website:

In the “Funding Needed” section of our website, new entrepreneurs and existing business owners can post their capital requirements. In the “Looking To Invest” section, investors, who are looking to invest, can post their profiles so that entrepreneurs can find them easily. Sometimes entrepreneurs may not need capital but may seek business partners or the opinions of other experienced investors or entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs can post these requests in our “Business Ideas” section. In the “Need An Expert” section, entrepreneurs can find experts in their field of industry by posting their requirements. They can even advertise work for equity jobs for experts (e.g. CEO, CFO, or marketing manager).

My only criticism on an initial quick look - why have they decided to monetize with GOOGLE ADSENSE? I know many of us use Adsense and it is quick and easy, but some how (at least for me) Adsense seems to lower the sites “quality score” in my eyes. Maybe it is just me, but I would value your opinion on when and when not to use Adsense on a site.

Have a Great Weekend

Their use of ad sense in my eyes comes across as a bit desperate? I could certainly be off on this but I see where you are coming from Michael. It’s as if their own personal monetization was the last thing on their minds and then it hit them ‘oh sh#*! we need some ad revenue hurry up and Google what to do!’

It reads as tremendously poor planning and in my eyes a bit unprofessional. Adsense is good small, and unobtrusive. Go 4 funding needs to go back to design school, or at least consult with a u.i. firm before the launch a site that looks like a scraper site pushing ads.
