First Day In School | Young Entrepreneur in Ghana

As I write this I am in the school. In case you didn’t know I am here for 6 weeks (unpaid) teaching Conversational English. (For a dyslexic – I keep pinching myself about that one)

But hey; my Conversational English is pretty good ;-)

By the way, I am here with my very good friend Alistair (Ali) – he is coaching soccer / football. We are sharing a room in “digs” in a house just out Accra (the capital city) – quite an experience – but I will discuss that another day.

The school is very loud and has a lot of kids to each classroom.

I am in the staff room and just saw the school calendar, which gave me some ideas for blog posts, here are some titles on the calendar.

Achievers and Innovators
Destined to be great
Generation of a positive change
Class of Excellence
Aggressive with learning
Future Leaders
Selflessness and Integrity

Some great post titles – hopefully I will get a chance to post around these themes in not too distant future

I also have some photos – which I will try to upload, whenever the Internet connection here allows me.

Have a GREAT DAY – where ever you are!

Michael

PS: If only my old School Teachers could see me now – me in a School Staff Room – me being “responsible” – they would be surprised!

PPS: Ghana is fascinating – and the people are friendly and lovely. The heat is taking a bit of time to get used to – but I am sure I will get there

PPPS: The national motto in Ghana is: “No hurry in life, this be Ghana”

PPPPS: Christianity is very popular in Ghana and it is not uncommon for your local shop to be called: Only God Knows Provisions and Cosmetics or Thy Will be Done Snacks
