Hi Rick

I was in Accra in Ghana - the original plan was to go for 6 weeks teaching children conversational English at a school called Holy Star Academy (not bad for a dyslexic). I ended up staying 3 weeks because of getting ill

I was 'working' with a friends company - he organised "Gap Year" travel mainly for UK kids so they could go out and travel and do help the communities they were in at same time

Here are some more posts about my Ghana experience:

Hello Michael,
I may have missed it, but why were you in a Ghana hospital in the first place?

Cheers,

Middlebrook & Chow are 2 of my top blogs as well. Especially Middlebrook as she had the guts to quit her job BEFORE she was earning money blogging. She still hasn't figured out how to make a living online, but there's no doubt she will eventually. If you haven't visited her blog yet, I recommend it.

I can't think of anything worse than being in an underdeveloped country hospital.

Glad you are getting better Michael and it was way cool to see my blog up on the screen like that :)

I once had the chicken pocks (it was very mild though) and I was due to return home to Australia from Seattle. I got on the plane and made it back home but I felt bad because I thought I might be infecting this family that was sitting next to me.

It turns out I was not contagious when I flew, but yeah, you want to be home with family whenever you are crook that's for sure!

That's cool that you had Internet access in hospital. I was in hospital a few years back and it drove me nuts - I had TV but no Internet. Glad my blog helped a little :)
